Concrete Poetry
This week's exercise is to write concrete poetry. Concrete poetry is when the poem looks like its subject on the paper. In other words, the lines or poetry look like an image. Since this is our valentines day meeting, your poem can take the shape of a heart or a rose, or anything else that you want.
Here are some shape ideas to get you started:
-
A heart.
-
A rose or bouquet of flowers.
-
Two swans kissing/making a heart.
Here are some subject ideas:
-
Write about romantic love or heartbreak.
-
Write about platonic love or love for a pet/object.
-
Write about self love.
Have fun and feel free to post your responses to the post below!
